Welcome !

Welcome to Lady Real Talk. First I must say if you like things to be candy-coated this is NOT the place for you. Don't get me wrong I keep it Classy but I also keep it Real. Its a shame how at times society still try to set boundaries for women, and we fall into the trap. We find ourselves more and more becoming our own worst enemy. We consantly try to please others and we weigh so much on what they think. And while doing so we get caught up, forgetting about OUR needs, feelings, and happiness....Don't be afraid to say "I need some ME time "

Be Proud & Say it Loud... " I Am Beautiful "

Hello Ladies, I hope everyone is doing well and feeling blessed. Okay Ladies tell me what you think of this, The other day I went out with my friend. We were going to a couple of malls, our plan was to do some major shopping since we haven't really shopped ALL summer. So right before we were getting ready to walk out the door I looked in the mirror. And to my surprise I was looking REALLY REALLY good. I mean I knew I was at least looking okay because I don't like leaving the house looking a mess. And plus all the time it took me to figure out what to wear and to find my earrings, I knew I better have been looking at least somewhat cute. You know what I mean. So while I was looking in the mirror, I said "ohhh I'm looking soooo cute !".I then asked my friend to take a picture of me. Her response was "No, you shouldn't be so conceited", which really caught me off guard. It amazes me how society has turned self compliments into something negative. How come I can't say "I think I'm Beautiful" without someone thinking I'm being conceited or self-absorbed? Ladies, must we only wait for someone else to say we are beautiful ? Ladies, do think I was being conceited? Let me know what you think ...

Make it Happen ...

Hello Ladies ! Awww... This is my first post, I'm so excited. But you know, its been one of those days. You know the kind where you have so many things planned to do but don't quite get around to getting anything on the list done. My plans were to get up early go for a walk, and do a mini (yes mini) workout with my new Workout Body Ball. That did not happen. I was also suppose to start packing my things and getting ready to head back to school. The bags are still empty, but I at least have an idea of what I'm going to pack. I can't even remember what I wasted all my time on. Shame ! shame ! Ladies, if you know what I'm talking about it is time we get ourselves together and make things happen and get things done! Since I bought a pricey planner/appointment book I need to start using it. So since I hate feeling like I wasted time, I came up with a plan to better myself and the my surroundings (cause that's what I do).
The Plan : Before I go to bed I'm going to take about ten minutes to reflect on the day's accomplishments and what still need to be taken care of. What ever unfinished business that's left I'll put it on the "To Do List" for the next day. Then in the morning I'll do the same thing. I'll take about ten minutes to review my "To Do List" to make sure I' know and remember what needs to get done. Ladies feel free to do the same. Life can be so busy at times. Sometimes we try so hard to do everything we actually miss the things we really should have been paying attention to. Ladies we are smart we know what needs to be done... so lets make it happen. AND... Don't forget to add "me time" to your "To Do List". Take a break, relaxation is important to organization.
